Bust
Measure around the fullest part of the bust, tape level under the arms. Wear a regular bra (not push-up) for accuracy.

Waist
The narrowest part of your torso, usually 1–2 inches above the navel. Don't suck in.

Hips
Around the fullest part of your hips and seat with feet together, tape level all the way around.
- 4
Thorax (high chest)
Just above the bust, under the armpits, around the chest. Used to set the upper bodice fit.

Bust drop
Vertical distance from the highest point of the shoulder down to the apex (point) of the bust.

Underbust drop
Vertical distance from the shoulder point down to the underbust band line.

Apex distance
Horizontal distance between the two bust points (apex to apex).

Front body length
From the highest shoulder point straight down the front to the natural waistline.

Back body length
From the prominent neck bone (C7) straight down the back to the natural waistline.

Shoulders (cross-shoulder)
Across the back from one shoulder bone to the other, following the curve of the shoulders.

Back width
Across the upper back at armpit level, from one back-arm crease to the other.

Hip drop
Vertical distance from the natural waist down to the fullest part of the hips.

Waist to floor
Standing straight, measure from the natural waist straight down to the floor. Wear the shoes you'll wear with the dress (or measure barefoot and add the heel height).

Heel height
Height of the heel of the shoes you plan to wear with the dress, in cm.

Total height
Standing barefoot against a wall, the full height from floor to top of head.

Sleeve length
From the shoulder seam point, down the outside of the slightly-bent arm, to the wrist bone.

Shoulder to elbow
From the shoulder seam point, down the outside of the arm, to the elbow point.

Arm circumference
Around the upper arm at the fullest part of the bicep, arm relaxed.

Bicep / arm thickness
Around the bicep at its widest point, arm relaxed by the side.

Elbow circumference
Around the elbow joint with the arm slightly bent.

Wrist
Around the wrist bone where a watch or bracelet would sit.

Neck
Around the base of the neck where a collar would sit.
Tip: measure over a thin layer (like a fitted t-shirt), not over winter clothing. Keep the tape snug but not pulled tight. Have a friend help — measurements taken by yourself are often inaccurate.
